Reading Recommendations

At Emmanuel Middle School pupils enjoy reading and know how important it is for their future development and progress. We are passionate about supporting the children with their reading choices and this is embedded in our school curriculum.

With such a large range of books in school, it can sometimes be difficult to choose the right book for you. We have created this list of some of the top titles we recommend for children from Year 6 to Year 8. They have been chosen because of their popularity, diversity, range of genres and cultural heritage.

We have also included useful resources to support you and your child with their reading further. We hope you find this useful. Enjoy your reading!
